Austin Kunert began racing in 2008 @ the age of 8 years old. He started racing indoors @ Chicago indoor racing & before heading to the outdoor racing. His outdoor racing started @ Grundy Speedway on the 3/8 mile asphalt track. Austin Joined GCK & raced Champ karts for 3 seasons @ Grundy & also 1 season on the dirt @ Jules Raceway. In Austins karting career he was able to win over 50 races & won 2 indoor Championships & 2 outdoor Championships. It was time to move up to cars so in 2011 Austin started racing supercup cars with The Central States Region Supercups & finished 4th in the yearly point standings among 22 drivers. Austin had 1 Pole & 2 Heat wins to go along with his 4 top 5 & 12 top 10 finishes. Austin was named Rookie of the Year for 2011!
